Howke, Isabel Victoria, at the Southampton Care Centre, Southampton, on Saturday February 27, 2010. Isabel Howke (nee Obright) of Southampton in her 104th year. Wife of the late Wilfrid Duke “Mike” Howke. Loving mother of Trudy Howke of Kitchener and her friend Ken Papple of Seaforth and Jane and her husband Roy Oldfield of Oakville. Proud grandmother of Jeffrey Oldfield and his wife Laurie of Bloomington, Illinois and Elizabeth and her husband Steven Finlayson of Oakville. Also survived by her brother Jack Obright and his wife Esther of Hanover and by her sisters-in-law, Gladys Obright of Maryhill, Beatrice Obright-Sidebottom of Toronto and Audrey Beattie also of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents, William Frederick and Gertrude Isabel Howke, by her sisters, Stella, Winnifred, Alice, Margaret, Mary and by her brothers, Charles, Fred and Harry. Isabel will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives of the Obright and Knowles families, by her friends of her Church and of her Community and especially by those whose lives she touched through her teaching career. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Tuesday March 2, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted from the Southampton United Church, Southampton on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2pm. Spring Interment Southampton Cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Southampton United Church, to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Southampton Care Centre Residents’ Council.
