Obituary

Barry Albert Kenyon passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife Darlene; his son Greg; grandchildren James and Lindsay; his daughter Andrea and her husband Ray Lee; granddaughter Alex (Andrew); and grandson Matthew. Barry will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be fondly remembered for his warmth and dedication to his family.

Barry worked for many years at Ontario Hydro, serving at the Bruce Nuclear Site with dedication and pride. In his retirement, he cherished many happy years, spending time boating, travelling, golfing, biking, and enjoying the company of family and friends. His love for life and the outdoors was evident to all who knew him.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Amy Gowan and all the Doctors and Nurses in Southampton and Owen Sound, who showed such kindness and compassion throughout Barry’s care. Their support and dedication brought comfort during difficult times and will always be deeply appreciated.

Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Service will be conducted at the Eagleson Funeral Home in Southampton to Celebrate the Life of Barry Albert Kenyon.

Expressions of remembrance to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation would be appreciated.
