Davidson, Margaret (née Hauer)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Davidson, who passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with her family by her side.

Margaret was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Frances Oldfield, and her husband, Albert Davidson. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Travis (Stephanie) Oldfield of Mannheim, and Diana (Andre) Brace of Scarborough; as well as her great-grandchildren: Bella, Hudson, Mason, Charlie, and Brooklyn. She is also survived by her stepsons Peter (Ann) Davidson of British Columbia and John (Michelle) Davidson of Quebec, and by her step-grandson, Eric.

Margaret leaves behind her sister Hanni Honigsberger, and cherished nieces Maria and Elizabeth, all of Austria, along with extended family still residing there.

Born on June 2, 1927, in Wollersdorf, Austria, Margaret was the eldest of six children and was known for her adventurous spirit. After immigrating to Canada, she settled in Montreal, where she met her husband, Albert. While working for Air Canada, Margaret and Albert would travel the world – an experience she cherished deeply.

Following Albert’s passing, Margaret made Southampton, Ontario her home. There, she found joy in managing her rental properties and spending time with friends and loved ones. One of her greatest pleasures was sitting on the beach with her daughter, watching the iconic Lake Huron sunsets.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Margaret with her family on Sunday, October 26th from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Hampton Court Retirement Home, 49 Albert St. South, Southampton, ON.

Cremation has taken place. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hampton Court for their compassionate care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, cash donations may be made to the Residence Activity Fund at Hampton Court.
