June Rourke
November 11, 1947 – March 27, 2026 - Age 78

Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of June Rosemary Rourke (nee Gibson) on March 27, 2026, after a brave and courageous 8 year battle with Cancer. With her family by her side and with the wonderful staff at Chapman House, she peacefully crossed over the rainbow.

Her loving husband of 59 years, Wayne, was always by her side. He won her heart at the age of 13, leading to marriage in 1966 and the start of our family.

She leaves behind her children, Mike (Carla) and Tanya. Grandmother to Lindsay (Jordan) Esseltine and Micayla. Great Grandmother to Madelyn, Luke and Lilah. She is predeceased by her son, Shawn.

She is also survived by her siblings Lloyd Gibson, Marlene Grath, Dwayne Gibson and Cathy Padfield.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

A private internment for family and friends will be held in the Spring.
