Obituary

Robert “Bob/Bobbi” Copeland passed away in his home on Wednesday, April 15^th, 2026 in his 70^th year.

Bob grew up in Southampton, worked as a pipefitter in Alberta and Ontario and lived the last 3 decades in Port Elgin. He was kind to others and always had a smile on his face. He was a proud Grandpa and Father.  Though he was a man of few words, he would always enthusiastically share the score of any Maple Leafs or Blue Jays game with you. He was frequently seen on his scooter making his trips to Walmart and Tim Hortons. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped Bob and treated him with love and kindness. Bob was given a life with many obstacles; he learned to handle it all with grace and independence.

Bob will be fondly remembered by his daughter, Robin McGuire, grandson Dexter Golden, his sons Ben Copeland and Bob Copeland, and by his siblings Laurie Miller and husband Ken, Jamie Copeland and wife Carolyn, and Patti Hodgkins and husband Barry. Predeceased by his mother Betty Hearn (née Knechtel).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to share the stories Bob could not tell himself and to remember his perseverance and his always positive attitude.
