Obituary

Thomson, William ‘Bill’ passed away at the Southampton Hospital on, Saturday January 31, 2026 in his 90th year. Survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Barbara Thomson (née Mellis), his daughter Judy and her partner Kim, son Richard and his partner Lisa, her sons Jamie and Riley, and by his grandson Connor. Bill will be sadly missed by his furry companion Annie.

Bill worked at BMXT, formally Babcock & Wilcox, Cambridge for over 40 years. He retired to Port Elgin, where he spent time curling, golfing, and sailing.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
