Chris Weiss
January 5, 1969 – April 25, 2026 - Age 57

Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Douglas Weiss, who left us suddenly on April 25, 2026, at the age of 57.

Chris was a loving husband to Janette Weiss, a proud and devoted father to Alishia (Jimmy), Ashleigh (Lauryn), and Justin, and an incredibly cherished papa to Savannah, Ayden, Gannon, and Logan. His family was his greatest pride, and he never missed a chance to share a story, a laugh, or time with the people he loved most.

He was the youngest brother to Lynda Johnson (Rob), Bill Weiss (Andrea), Rick Weiss (Cathy), and Tracy Weiss, and held a special place in the hearts of his entire family. He will also be greatly missed by all his nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many friends.

Chris is predeceased by his brother Larry Weiss, his parents Harley and Jean Weiss, his in-laws Barb and Ron Smith, and his brother-in-law Ian Smith.

Chris will be remembered for his enormous heart, unforgettable laughter, and endless generosity. He will be remembered for the large holiday dinners with an open door policy so no one had to spend a holiday alone. He had a way of always making people feel at home and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at a later date.  As per Chris’ wishes a cremation will be taking place.

In honour of Chris, the family invites you to make a donation to the either the Chapman House in Owen Sound or the Canadian Cancer Society.

He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
