Obituary

Sieffert, Linda, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Southampton Hospital on Wednesday January, 27 2021 at the age of 69.

Beloved wife of the late James Sieffert. Loving mother to Todd (Tammy) Nason and Cindy (Blake) Thomson. Extremely proud Nana to Emma & William Nason and Devin & Cody Thomson. Dear sister to Doug (Lousie) Virtue, Don Virtue, and Janice (Mike) Virtue, and sister-in-law to Lyverne Sieffert and Donna (Art) Doern. Always remembered by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arley & Agnes Virtue.

Linda grew up in Saugeen Shores but loved to spend her winters in the sunny south. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed watching the grandkids play hockey.

She had many memories with people all across Canada and the United States. She held a very special spot in her heart for her North Bruce friends. She was known for her laughter, fun and loving personality, but those who knew her well, will never forget how stubborn she was.  Linda found the love of golf and she gained many friends to go along with the game. She was a proud executive member of the Southport Ladies Golf League and will be missed by many golfers.

Todd will miss his drop-in visits, Tammy will miss battling over Linda’s famous coleslaw, Emma will miss Nana’s driving instructions and chats, William will miss Nana’s life chats and helping her with puzzles.

Cindy will miss her many summer mornings golfing together, but don’t worry Mom I will think of you every swing and laugh with you when I hit trees, Blake will miss his special bond and most recently the daily apple fritters they had together, Devin and Cody will miss their golf days and their special Sunday night dinners.

We would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time and short battle that she could no longer fight.

Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin, in the spring and when covid-19 allows for outside gatherings once again. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
