Obituary

Anoquot, Mkoons, “Little Bear” passed away at the Windsor Metropolitan Hospital on Sunday September 27, 2020. Mkoons Jesse Anoquot of Windsor and formerly of Saugeen First Nation at the age of 23. Dear son of Valencia Root and the late Gerald Anoquot. Loved brother to Nimkii and A.J. Nephew to Letitia, Melissa (Stacey), Kevin, Mark, Vicki, Angela, and Dolly. Cousin to Miranda, April (Jordan), Sammi-Jo, Sky, Lacey, Shyla, Ella, Nolan, Eden and Courage, Marie, Grace, and Braxton. Remembered by his grandma’s Rita Root and Sharon Cameron, predeceased by his grandfather’s Joe & Wayne. Also predeceased by his uncles Elroy and Amariah, and David. Special mention to Stephanie Root who was a big part of his life being a friend and teaching assistant.

Visitation at 766 French Bay Rd, Saugeen First Nation on Thursday October 1, 2020 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Mkoons will be held at the James Mason Memorial Cultural Centre, on Friday at 2 pm. Cremation to follow. Please be sure to follow Covid 19 protocols, masks are mandatory for indoor services.
