Obituary

Patricia Anne Armstrong, 85, of Southampton, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, at Southampton Hospital, Ontario. Born on November 16, 1939, Patricia dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying warmth and generosity in every aspect of her life.

Beginning her career in nursing at Toronto General Hospital, Patricia later specialized as an occupational health nurse with Employee Care, where she was committed to the wellbeing of her colleagues and patients. Her career was a reflection of her caring nature and dedication to helping others.

A long-time resident of Southampton, Patricia was known for her warmth and generous spirit. She was active in the Southampton Auxiliary, providing essential equipment and furniture for patients. An avid reader, she was also a member of book clubs in both Toronto and Southampton and participated in various events with Probus Southampton.

Patricia was a warm and caring mother, her guidance and love leaving a lasting impact on her children. She cherished family above all and was a source of strength and inspiration to her sons, Sean, Michael, and Jonathan. Her warm presence and wise counsel will be profoundly missed.

Patricia is survived by her husband David, sons, granddaughter Makayla Armstrong Watson, brother Glenn, Glenn’s wife Doris, and niece Gaelyne. Her late sister Linda’s memory continues to be a beacon for the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, May and Frank Leslie.

Patricia spent time volunteering with the Auxiliary, an organization dear to her heart. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

The Armstrong family is deeply grateful to the staff at Southampton Hospital for their compassionate care during Patricia’s final days.
