Rolande Bridget Duguay (nee Maitland / Dressler)It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Rolande announces her peaceful passing at Huron Shores Hospice in Tiverton, surrounded by compassionate, dedicated staff.

Born in New Brunswick, Rolande made her home in many places across Canada throughout her life.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Liz Bright, wife of the late Ken Bright. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Melissa (Ian) and Rachel (Tyler) and a cherished great- grandmother to Abby, Harrison and Weston, who brought her immense joy. Her son Tim Maitland (Angela), grandmother to Serena (Taylor), Megan (Don), Madeline and Brittany and great grandmother to many more; and her sister Teri Brownlee (Chuck).

Rolande was predeceased by her parents, Roland and Olive; her son Chris Maitland, whose memory is carried on by his wife MaryAnne; her sister Jeannette Levac and surviving spouse Raymond. Her brothers Ron and Gerry; and her spouses Don Maitland and Tibur Dressler.

Affectionately known as “Rollie,” she was renowned for her delicious butter tarts, apple pie, and home-cooked meals. A lover of red wine and good company, she created countless warm and joyful memories around her table.

Rolande was a Reiki Master with a deep passion for learning and sharing her knowledge with others. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Like a beautiful flower, Rolande’s memory will continue to bloom in our hearts year after year. We are forever grateful for the love and joy she brought into our lives.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
