It is with profound sorrow that the family of Garry H. Scott announces his passing on February 12, 2023, in his 66th year, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound.

Beloved husband and best friend for 42 years of Kathleen (nee MacKay). Proud and devoted father to Matthew (Casey), Derek (Roberta “Bobbie”), and Melissa (Ian) Vallance.
Warmhearted Grandpa to Preston, Tucker, Halle, Emery and Eli.
Garry will be missed by his siblings Ross (Betty Anne), Donelda (Bruce) Wilkins, Bernice (Carl) Kobe, and Bill. Also remembered by Kathleen’s family of Gayle MacKay, Lynne Lerch, Bernice (Nelson) Granger, and Marg (Jim) Atkinson. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Milton and Jeanette, brothers-in-law Bill MacKay and Harvey Lerch.

As an electrician and successful business owner within the community and beyond, Garry provided his skilled hands to many homes. Garry had a passion for all sports which filled his life, and he encouraged these activities within his family and others. His respect and love of the outdoors also provided him with many hunting and fishing adventures with his family and dearest friends.

After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Kathleen to learn and experience different places in the world, putting down new roots on the warm, sunny coast of Bucerias, Mexico.
Although he will be incredibly missed, he left an irreplaceable footprint in the sand in everyone’s lives who knew him.

With every sunset we will forever be reminded of Garry, Dad, Grandpa.
