Obituary

Roote, Jonathon, passed away suddenly on Tuesday January 31, 2023 at the age of 41.  Beloved son of Linda Kahgee of Saugeen First Nation. Brother to Ron, Jason, Quentin, Jacob and Amanda. Nephew to Steve (Marilyn) Roote, Mike Roote, Cory (Paul) King and uncle to Brendan, Cole, Emily, Caleb, Colby, Tayla, and Rayden. Loved cousin to Craig, Matthew, Nicholas, Kimberly, Marshall, Jenny, and Trevor. Predeceased by his dad Anthony “Tony” Roote, his brother Martin, his grandparents, Tilly Salt, Daniel and Maisie Roote.

Visitation at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Monday February 6, 2023 from 12 noon-2pm. A Celebration of Jonathon’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday February 6 at 2:00pm. Spring Interment at Saugeen Village Cemetery.
